Location: 845 Front Street, Suite A Lahaina
Reservations: Reservations are typically not needed. We like the late lunch with the happy hour and reservations are definitely not needed during the Aloha Hour.
Prices: Affordable: Lunch and Pupus (Appetizers) are about $15 or less
First and foremost, we need to talk about the location of this restaurant. Kimo's is located in the heart of Lahaina town. The restaurant location is oceanside so you can enjoy amazing views while enjoying your company and food.
Lunch is served from 11am to 3:30pm. Aloha Hour is from 3pm to 5pm. We like to get to Kimo's around 3pm and order an item off the lunch menu. Some of our favorite dishes are the Fish Tacos. One thing you can expect while in Maui is fresh fish. We have never been disappointed in the fish we have been served in Maui. The coconut crusted fish is also amazing. For something a bit cooler on a warm day, try the chopped chicken salad. Because we also want to enjoy the Aloha Hour, we typically get one entree to share and then share Pupus.
My personal favorite pupu is the macadamia nut calamari. These are sliced thick "french fry" cut calamari steaks with an amazing crush. If you like seafood, you will love these and the portion size is nice enough to share. Another favorite is the Kalua Pork Cheese Fries. The picked red onions make this pupu delish!
If you're over 21 and want to enjoy a cocktail, I like something fresh and light and the Lahaina Lemonade fits the bill.
After a late lunch with Aloha Hour at Kimo's we don't need a big dinner. Some snacks on the Lanai at Mahana in either Mahana 507 or Mahana 607 will do just fine. We enjoy the sunsets from the Lanai and let another beautiful day pass on Maui.
Keep coming back to our blog as we continue to share our adventures on Maui.

Reservations: We recommend reservations and they can typically be made a day or two in advance unless you're looking for seating during a holiday.
Prices: Moderate: Main dishes are about $25.
We were introduced to Matteo's by our friends who moved to Maui two years ago. We have made three visits there within two months. Yes! that is how much we love this restaurant.
We recommend one of the Pizzette's to share as an appetizer. The margherita pizzette became a favorite. It's a nice way to try a small portion before deciding to have it as your main course in the future.
The salads are big enough that they can be shared by two if it's not used as a main course. The Zucca has substance yet does not have a heavy dressing. Of course you can't go wrong with the Caeser. Many of the ingredients are locally grown so the freshness comes through.
We have had many of the main courses and our personal favorites are Fettuccine Fruitti Di Mare. This is one of the best pasta dishes I've had. The pasta is cooked perfectly and the there is plenty of seafood in the dish. The Lasagna is also a favorite with an amazing meat sauce.
